The Scottish Objective 3 Programme is a significant source of European funding which helps disadvantaged groups in the community who, for a variety of reasons, are excluded both economically and socially.

The implementing authority for Objective 3 in Scotland is the Scottish Executive which is supported in its work by the Programme Management Executive and the Scottish Partnership.

The Scottish Objective 3 Programme Management Executive, in operation since May 1998, is currently heavily involved in the first phase of the 2000-2006 Objective 3 Programme which was formally approved by the European Commission in July 2000. Further details can be found further on their website www.objective3.org

Kibble has run a number of European Social Fund supported projects since 1998, including adult training and pre-vocational training for young people.

One of our current ESF supported projects is the development of online learning materials. Visit The Learning Centre (TLC @ Kibble) and check out our Cando/VQ interactive quiz.

We are pleased to acknowledge ESF support for our Men Can Care project. Our overall aim is that this will be a high profile, best practice project for not only the sector, but one which will also address the wider perceptions of masculinity in a changing society.
