The Men Can Care project was run by Kibble Education and Care Centre. Based in Paisley, Kibble is one of Scotland’s oldest charities working with young people at risk. Today it is a modern multi-function centre and social enterprise, at the forefront of providing a range of special secondary education, residential child care, pre-vocational training and community outreach work to more than100 of Scotland’s most troubled and troublesome adolescent boys. 150 years of working with young people at risk means we can categorically state men can care! And not only that, do it extremely well!

Men Can Care was a full time training and work experience project supported by the European Social Fund. It allowed us to offer a life changing opportunity to men to pursue a career in child and youth care. Of the 51 men we recruited on to the programme, 46 are now in full time employment in child and youth care or social care.
